Jaushae+Brodrick: Maternity

I must say, I was a little more than surprised when Jaushae scheduled a maternity session for sunrise.  When I asked her about it, she just laughed and said, “I’m not a morning person, but he is” (pointing to her tummy.)  Funny how your body’s natural rhythms can be altered.  :)

We met at the Williams Tower Waterwall and took shots around the park before the falls turned on at 8am.  I just love this place!

Family Pictures

Family Pictures are such a precious keepsake, and this can be especially true when larger families can’t always be together.  These kids made it a point to arrange a photo shoot in honor of their mother’s 60th birthday.  It had been 10 years since all of them had gathered together, and it was so important to her that she have photos to remember it.  Way to go, family!

Nori+Richard: Anniversary Pictures

I must say, a repeat client is the absolute best compliment anyone can give!

I took some head shots for Nori only a month ago, and she was so happy with her pictures that she booked a couple’s session for her and her hubby. They have been married for 20 years, and she decided that it was the perfect excuse to have some nice photos together. (It’s amazing how often a wedding is the last time a couple ever gets their pictures professionally taken!)

Carrie+Joe: Wedding

I knew from the moment that I first met Carrie in that Starbucks coffee shop that we would be a good fit.  She brought along her best friend and proceeded to tell me she was an artist creating many of the pieces for her wedding… umm.. done!

She and her handy new hubby, Joe, made all of the fabulous signs for the wedding, and it is so easy to see that they work well together.  They are absolutely lovely people with an absolutely gorgeous blended family!

Carrie wore a breathtaking dress with an intricate illusion back and chose her daughter to be her maid of honor (Joe’s son stood in as best man).

I loved all of the personal details of the wedding.  The preacher gave one of the best sermons on marriage I’ve ever heard, and it just got better and better from there.

Laurie+Jim: Vow Renewal

I attend the same church as Laurie & Jim, so when they asked me to photograph their 30 year vow renewal I was absolutely honored.  They had a lot of little details that made this day special.  From new rings forged from old jewelry and a dress made with pieces from Laurie’s original wedding gown, it seems they really took the theme of “renewal” to the next step!

The ceremony was held at Laurie’s father’s house in Willis, and there was absolutely no need for decorations on that beautiful lake!
